BETH ANN SMITH
Beth Ann Smith was raised in Columbia County and graduated as Valedictorian from Evans High School in 1984. Ms. Smith attended Georgetown University School of Foreign Service graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service/International Economics and a Master of Science in Foreign Service/International Trade and Finance.
Ms. Smith attended Georgetown University Law Center graduating Cum Laude in May of 1992. Beth Ann Smith is a member of good standing of the Georgia State Bar and is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Georgia.
Beth Ann Smith has also served as a Municipal Court Judge in the City of Midville and as the sole municipal attorney representing the City of Waynesboro from approximately 1996 to 1999. Ms. Smith has been practicing in the specialty of Divorce and Family Law since her graduation in 1992 and has focused her law practice and devoted the majority of her time on issues in the specialty of Divorce and Family Law and has handled numerous cases involving all aspects of Family Law.
BARBARA ANN SMITH
Barbara Ann Smith graduated from University of Maryland School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1960 and a Master of Science degree in August of 1961. Mrs. Smith worked in nursing for a number of years serving as a Supervisor of Neurosurgery at University Hospital in Maryland and later as a Supervisor in Neurology at The New York Hospital. Mrs. Smith attended the University of Georgia Law School graduating in December of 1987 and received bar certification in Georgia, South Carolina and Washington, D.C. in June of 1988. Mrs. Smith currently maintains bar certification only in Georgia and is an attorney in good standing with the Georgia State Bar and has been admitted to practice in the State Courts in Georgia.
Upon graduation from the University of Georgia Law School, Barbara Smith was employed as an assistant solicitor in the Richmond County Solicitors Office. In January of 1989, Mrs. Smith joined the District Attorneys office in the Augusta Judicial Circuit and served as an Assistant District Attorney until June of 1993. In June of 1993, Mrs. Smith served as Chief Assistant District Attorney under District Attorney J. Daniel Craig. Mrs. Smith was named Assistant District Attorney of the Year in 1996.
In January of 1997, Mrs. Smith left the District Attorney's Office and joined her daughter, Beth Ann Smith, in her Divorce and Family Law practice in Waynesboro, Georgia. Mrs. Smith has been practicing in the specialty of Divorce and Family Law since January of 1997. Mrs. Smith and Beth Ann Smith also serve as Special Assistant Attorney Generals for Child Support Enforcement.
Diane Blackwell has worked in the area of Domestic Relations and Family Law since 1998. Mrs. Blackwell is a graduate of Evans High School and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Marketing from Augusta State University. Diane joined our staff in 2008 and has been an invaluable assistant to Beth Ann Smith and Barbara Ann Smith.
Pamela Gottlieb joined the firm in May of 2000 as business manager. Mrs. Gottlieb graduated in 1972 from Montclair State University in Montclair New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Mrs. Gottlieb joined the firm in May of 2000 and has worked in the practice continuously since that time. Mrs. Gottlieb handles the financial side of the firm's business.
